Our ultimate goal is to spread Christ's message of liberation, which includes restoring one's worth, dignity, and sense of significance. That they might hear the gospel and put their faith in Christ, and be saved from eternal punishment is the primary reason we preach. One can become God's child in this way and share in His blessings and inheritance while still on earth. It's about saving the lives of people drowning or otherwise in danger. A believer has been “delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed into the kingdom of the Son of His love” (Colossians 1:13 NKJV).
